Staff Engineer, Upstream Process Development

Responsibilities
- Develop, characterize, and optimize fed-batch, perfusion, and intensified fed-batch cell culture processes.
- Support upstream development across microscale (Ambr15/250), bench, and pilot scales.
- Contribute to early- and late-stage development; own key upstream workstreams.
- Partner with technology development teams to define/improve platform processes.
- Drive innovation via process improvements and new upstream approaches.
- Lead or support technology transfer into GMP manufacturing (internal/external) as SME.
- Support regulatory filings with technical documentation and data generation.
- Analyze complex data to identify trends and resolve process challenges.
- Coach junior team members; may lead small projects.

Qualifications
- BS with 8+ years, MS with 6+ years, or PhD in a relevant field.
- Extensive upstream process development experience for mammalian cell culture under cGMP.
- Hands-on experience with fed-batch, perfusion, and intensified fed-batch; microscale through pilot scale.
- Experience in early/late-stage development and regulatory filings; cross-functional collaboration.
