Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology – East LA. Represent Gilead's oncology products to a defined customer base, generate and grow sales, and consistently achieve or exceed targets within a geographic area. Build relationships with healthcare practices, provide disease awareness information and clinical education, and synthesize complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Represent Oncology products and services to a defined customer base, generate and grow sales, and achieve/exceed sales targets within the assigned area.
- Prepare a territory business plan to achieve goals and monitor sales progress and action plans.
- Identify patient pathways within oncology offices in the territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
- Promote products to targeted oncologists and office staff; in-service staff on safe and appropriate drug administration; inform staff of Gilead patient services.
- Establish and develop relationships with key customers, accounts, and key opinion leaders.
- Experience in hospital and large account sales; manage through complex reimbursement issues.
- Communicate effectively, present to professionals, and influence others to represent Gilead and promote products.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, Marketing, and Market Access on cross-functional projects to drive sales and patient adoption.
- Demonstrate leadership by modeling compliant behavior and conduct; assist in issue resolution and proactively communicate with Marketing and Sales management.
- Complete administrative tasks promptly (e.g., updating customer database, expenses).
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies governing product promotion and information dissemination.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience OR Master's Degree and 4 years' experience.
- Preferred: Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience; oncology therapy experience; prior product launch experience; strong selling skills; ability to lead relationships with Oncology key opinion leaders; strong negotiation and account planning skills; self-motivated with autonomous work style; travel within the assigned area; valid driver's license.

Education
