Role Summary

Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology, responsible for representing Gilead's oncology products to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales within the East LA territory, including in-person visits with healthcare practitioners and relationship-building with practices, KOLs, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Oncology products and services to a defined customer base, generate and grow sales, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned geographic area
  • Prepare a territory business plan and monitor sales progress and action plans
  • Identify patient pathways within oncology offices in the territory and facilitate patient access to treatment
  • Promote products to targeted oncologists and office staff, in-service staff on safe drug administration, and inform them of Gilead patient services
  • Establish and develop relationships with key customers, accounts, and relevant key opinion leaders
  • Navigate hospital and large account sales and complex reimbursement issues
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Partner with Medical Scientists, Marketing, and Market Access on cross-functional projects to drive sales and patient adoption
  • Demonstrate leadership through compliant behavior and conduct
  • Identify and resolve issues, communicate with Marketing and Sales management
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly (e.g., updating customer database, expenses)
  • Ensure compliance with Gilead commercial policies and applicable laws and guidance

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience or Master's Degree and 4 years' experience
  • Preferred: 7+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience; oncology therapy experience; prior product launch experience; strong selling skills; ability to lead and build relationships with Oncology KOLs; account planning and cross-functional management experience; active travel within the assigned area

Education
