Role Summary
Sr Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology (Arkansas and East OK) at Gilead. Responsible for representing Oncology products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area. Develops territory business plans, identifies patient pathways, and facilitates patient access to treatment.
Responsibilities
- Represent Oncology products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales, and achieving or exceeding sales targets within the territory
- Prepare a business plan for the territory and monitor sales progress and action plans
- Identify patient pathways within oncology offices in the assigned territory and facilitate patient access to treatment
- Promote products to oncologists and office staff, conduct in-services to ensure safe and appropriate drug administration, and inform staff about Gilead patient services
- Establish and develop relationships with key customers, accounts, and key opinion leaders
- Leverage hospital and large account sales experience to manage complex reimbursement issues
- Communicate effectively and influence others to represent Gilead at professional events
- Partner with Medical Scientists, Marketing, and Market Access on cross-functional projects to drive sales and patient adoption
- Demonstrate leadership through compliant behavior and conduct
- Identify and resolve issues, communicate with Marketing and Sales management
- Complete administrative tasks promptly (e.g., updating customer database, expenses)
- Ensure compliance with Gilead commercial policies and applicable laws and guidance related to product promotion and information dissemination
Qualifications
- Required: High School with 9 years' experience or associateβs degree with 7 years' experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience or Master's Degree with 3 years' experience
- Ability to travel within the assigned area as required
- Onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners within the assigned area, if applicable
- Demonstrated ability to perform all essential duties; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience with BS/BA or equivalent
- Previous product launch experience
- Strong selling skills in competitive markets; experience in oncology therapy
- Experience in breast cancer therapeutic area is strongly preferred
- Aptitude for understanding scientific product information
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with oncology key opinion leaders
- Proven influencing, negotiation, and account planning skills; cross-functional account management
- Self-motivated with autonomy; aware of industry trends and competitor practices
- Analytical abilities to identify and address moderate to complex issues
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
