Job Description
Senior Therapeutic Specialist (HIV Treatment) representing Gilead products/services to a defined customer base within the Northern New Jersey Territory (Hackensack, Jersey City, Paterson, Clifton & The Oranges). Drive and grow sales by consistently achieving/exceeding sales targets through comprehensive account management, in-person customer engagement, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers; engage across touchpoints.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor and adjust to meet/exceed targets.
- Maintain expertise in Gilead products and disease-state complexities; promote appropriate product use.
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to support access/acquisition/administration/operations.
- Collaborate externally with healthcare organizations and partner companies (including co-promotion).
- Use influencing and relationship skills to drive sales; establish long-term provider partnerships.
- Complete required administrative/reporting (systems, expenses, territory budget) and manage learning/development.
Skills/Competencies Needed
- Advanced communication (distill complex clinical info for diverse audiences).
- Sales acumen; strong account management; ability to manage multiple-product portfolios.
- Technical/scientific proficiency in therapeutic area; matrix collaboration.
- Cultural awareness/empathetic communication, including comfort engaging in sexual health discussions.
- Autonomy/self-starter; patient-centric focus.
Basic Qualifications
- High school + 11 years, OR Associate + 9 years, OR Bachelor + 7 years, OR Master + 5 years.
- Valid driverβs license; ability to travel regularly; satisfy onsite visitation requirements (e.g., screenings/vaccinations, as applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS; 7+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty market success; injectable/physician-administered products; managed care familiarity.
Benefits/Pay (as stated)
- Salary range: $133,195.00β$172,370.00; may include discretionary bonus, long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
