Senior Therapeutic Specialist, HIV Treatment — Los Angeles Harbor territory (Long Beach, Torrance, Miracle Mile, & Cedars Towers)
Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base and generate/grow sales, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets within the assigned geographic area.
- Build strong working relationships with healthcare practices to deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates/education, and healthcare changes.
- Synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences; deliver strong presentations and communications.
- Develop territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals; monitor progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other teams; may collaborate with outside partners.
- Identify and resolve issues/opportunities and communicate proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety/Public Health per guidelines.
- Perform administrative duties (e.g., call activity/customer information reporting, submitting expenses).
- Adhere to applicable regulatory and company policies and promote in compliance.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of Gilead and competitor products and disease-state complexities.
- Advanced influencing and relationship-building with focus on sales outcomes.
- Passion for learning and retaining technical/scientific product information.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma and 11+ years relevant experience; OR Associate’s (9+); OR Bachelor’s (7+); OR Master’s (5+).
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned area.
- Satisfy onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners, if applicable.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in competitive markets.
- Track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Previous product launch experience in competitive environment.
