Sr. Therapeutic Specialist (HIV Treatment) — DC Metro territory (NW & SW DC and Northern VA)
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead products/services and generate/grow sales by meeting or exceeding targets in the assigned geography.
- Establish relationships with healthcare providers; deliver disease awareness, clinical updates, and education.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor sales and adjust strategies to exceed goals.
- Maintain expertise in Gilead products, competitive products, and disease state; promote appropriate product use following applicable industry and company standards.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues and externally with healthcare organizations/partners to support access and drive sales.
- Use influencing/relationship skills to drive outcomes; manage territory administration (reports, expenses, budget).
- Continuously learn technical/scientific information; work autonomously to exceed goals.
Skills/Competencies
- Strong communication to simplify complex clinical information for diverse audiences.
- Proven sales track record in competitive pharma; account management expertise.
- Technical/scientific proficiency in therapeutic area; cultural awareness and comfort discussing sexual health.
- Ability to lead in a cross-functional matrix environment; build internal/external partnerships.
- Autonomy/initiative; patient-access and outcomes focus.
Qualifications
- 6+ years with BS/BA OR 4+ years with MS/MA.
- Ability to travel; meet onsite visitation requirements (as applicable).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- BA/BS; 5+ years pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty-market success.
- Experience selling injectable physician-administered products; managed care familiarity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $133,195.00–$172,370.00; may include discretionary annual bonus, long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
