Sr Staff Medical Affairs Specialist

Role: Senior Staff Medical Affairs Specialist within Global Medical & Scientific Affairs at Illumina, supporting scientific accuracy, compliance, and content review for genomic technologies. Responsibilities: review and approve scientific and medical content, provide guidance to cross-functional teams (including Regulatory, Legal, Marketing), lead development and improvement of review processes and SOPs, and support strategic Medical Affairs initiatives. Requirements: advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, MS, or genetic counselor certification) with 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, or related fields; strong scientific knowledge; experience reviewing scientific and promotional materials; expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance; ability to influence stakeholders across global teams. Preferred: genetic counselor background, experience with Content Approval Processes (CAP), and familiarity with genomics, molecular testing, or biotech regulations. Experience with content management systems and leading global process improvements is advantageous.
