Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and complying with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create SMART pre-call plans; perform post-call evaluations; handle objections and drive logical calls to action to close sales.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and challenges and achieving win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Maintain and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical knowledge) with in-field/brand/sales leadership to optimize brand execution.
- Differentiate value with assigned health providers; develop/maintain disease-state experts and speaker/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred, or equivalent industry experience required (5+ years; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Proactively adapt selling approach to customer style/behavior.
- Proven sales success; strong presentation skills; innovative problem-solving.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environments.
- Influence others; credible role model; collaborative peer coaching and leadership.
- Driving required (personal/company vehicle or powered equipment), valid driverโs license, safe driving ability.
- Travel to cover territory and attend training/sales meetings.
- Preferred: therapeutic-area sales success; physician/account-based selling and/or managed care/training/marketing experience; English proficiency for non-English speaking countries.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and required licenses).
