Sr. Scientist, Drug Delivery- Onsite in Aliso Viejo

Role: Lead drug delivery and formulation development for innovative pharmaceutical products, focusing on sustained and controlled-release systems. Responsibilities: design and optimize delivery platforms (e.g., nanoparticles, hydrogels), develop scalable processes for preclinical and clinical supply, troubleshoot formulation and process issues, and support technology transfer and validation. Provide scientific leadership, evaluate emerging technologies, contribute to intellectual property, and collaborate across CMC, analytical, nonclinical, clinical, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams. Prepare technical documentation for regulatory submissions and respond to health authority inquiries. Mentorship of junior scientists and ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety standards are integral. Requirements: PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field; 0-4+ years' experience in drug delivery and formulation development, with expertise in sustained-release technologies, polymer science, and pharmaceutical development principles. Skills include experiment design, data analysis, technical writing, and cross-functional communication. Preferred: experience with hot melt extrusion, ophthalmic or long-acting delivery systems, regulatory submissions (IND, NDA), and publications in drug delivery. Location: onsite in Aliso Viejo, CA.
