Position Description
The Reliability Engineer (Maintenance team at LP1) is accountable for equipment reliability and the siteโs maintenance strategy for LP1 production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, track, and maintain reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, downtime, costs, emergency work orders, obsolete parts, Events).
- Provide field support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues; may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Assess and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability (e.g., installations, setup instructions, operation/utilization, maintenance procedures, servicing, spare parts, reducing MTTR).
- Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance strategies to optimize safe operation and HSE & cGMP compliance (cost, efficiency/effectiveness).
- Perform Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) and remediation plans for Events and abnormal conditions (e.g., during PM, late maintenance activities, costs).
- Provide engineering support for change controls and Event investigations.
- Continuously improve maintenance instructions (JPโs) and assetsโ spare parts list (ASLโs) for accuracy and efficiency.
- Serve as a technical expert/site mentor for Maximo CMMS use (maintenance strategies, execution, equipment history documentation).
- Collaborate with Process Engineering on design/selection/installation, equipment classification, Maximo location hierarchy, asset data, Return-to-Service instructions, and equipment manuals.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and support cross-functional groups.
Basic Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of reliability engineering experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.
Additional Preferences
- Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
- Experience in cGMP/regulated environments.
- RMIC or CMRP certification.
- Maximo CMMS experience.
