Role Summary

The Senior Project Support Professional will support all phases of assigned capital projects and systems, overseeing operational aspects and serving as a conduit between engineering and support teams. This role involves preparing project scopes, budgets, schedules, change controls, procurement, installation and qualification of equipment, project closure, forecasting, and financial accounting. Provides technical support to manufacturing operations and other business units as required, and liaises with equipment subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

  • Capital Project Authorizations: Assist with development and routing of electronic capital funding requests; facilitate release of contingency funding and project change notices; ensure requests are correctly routed and prioritized.
  • Procurement: Initiate capital purchase orders, change orders, and closures; expedite POs; initiate work orders; complete bid exception requests; collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and procurement; maintain vendor qualification documentation; track POs and issue accrual guidance; follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries; resolve PO discrepancies; ensure timely invoicing and milestone payments; resolve invoicing/payment issues.
  • Change Control: Author and assign actions; track impact assessments and action items; ensure qualification documentation and activities are completed.
  • Project Reports: Maintain cost spreadsheets; assess project status and spending forecasts; align SAP project accounting with capital portfolio manager; support cost controls and reporting; develop spreadsheets and presentations for periodic reporting; ensure timely reporting of project status and issues; develop meeting agendas and presentations.
  • Finance Functions: Facilitate project closure for capital projects (reconciliations, asset capitalization, etc.); asset under construction aging review; support corporate procedures on capital/expense guidelines and procurement guidelines; maintain confidentiality; understand taxation guidelines.
  • Engineering Business Process Systems: Administer TEAMS sites; maintain forms; manage contractor training/access; support routing processes for various project documents; lead low to medium complexity projects; work independently and review othersโ€šร„รด work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience; or Master's degree with >0 years; or Associate's degree with 6 years; or high school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to track performance against approved plans
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentations
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and project management tools
  • Basic understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices and change control
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • People management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to build cross-organizational relationships
