Role: Full-stack software engineer within Lilly's Software Platform Engineering organization, focusing on developing AI-powered platforms, developer tools, and enterprise applications. Responsibilities: build and deliver full-stack applications across diverse projects, leveraging modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, GraphQL, Neo4j), and integrate AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering processes. Operate as a generalist across frontend, backend, data engineering, and DevOps, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment on AWS/EKS. Contribute to system architecture, design, and technical specifications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready software. Maintain operational excellence through troubleshooting, monitoring, and managing cloud infrastructure. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, backend languages (Python, Node.js), and cloud-native tools. Hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes, databases (relational, document, graph), and AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude Code). Preferred: Master’s degree, 5–8+ years of experience, expertise in graph databases (Neo4j), GraphQL, AI/ML, and healthcare/biopharma industry knowledge. The role emphasizes fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with a focus on building innovative platforms to support Lilly’s research and development efforts.
