Sr Principal Engineer – MES Systems

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and integrate MES common and site-specific components for new API manufacturing sites.
- Support local teams in Design, Development, Delivery, and CSV of MES solutions.
- Develop standard approaches/components to build MES recipes and integrations across Lilly’s API network.
- Benchmark innovative solutions (external/internal).
- Adapt MES roadmaps to site evolution/strategic direction and emerging trends/issues.
- Support MES start-up activities; replication and standardization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their impact on the existing Lilly footprint.
- Maintain documentation for project/validation through lifecycle & release management.
- Create/maintain MES interfaces with other Lilly systems; collaborate with MES vendors.

What You Should Bring (preferred Skills)
- cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Leadership/team leadership; manage concurrent activities; cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong written/oral communication; analytical thinking; troubleshooting/problem-solving.
- Cloud solutions/architecture knowledge.
- Safety leadership and promoting operational excellence.
- Knowledge of and experience translating functional requirements to technical solutions.
- Experience serving as escalation contact with vendors.
- Proven ability to develop and integrate MES solutions (preferred: Syncade/DeltaV).

Your Basic Qualifications (with No Sponsorship)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 10+ years MES system implementation and data integration experience.
- Professional experience in a GXP, regulated environment.

Other Information
- Monday–Friday, on-site; flexibility for production schedules/shutdowns; occasional extended/off-hours.

Compensation/Benefits
- Anticipated wage: $126,000–$184,800; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k), medical/dental/vision, life insurance, PTO, well-being benefits).
