Role: Senior Principal Automation Engineer supporting Lilly's new Medicine Foundry for advanced manufacturing and drug development, focusing on process automation for GMP operations. Responsibilities: provide automation support across manufacturing areas, mentor automation teams, lead design reviews, develop control strategies, and support commissioning activities. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure compliant, reliable automation systems aligned with GMP and regulatory standards. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering or related field; 8+ years in automation engineering, experience with DeltaV, Rockwell PLC, SCADA, and batch control; knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, validation. High-value: biologics or small molecule manufacturing, facilities start-up (2025-2028), automation system design and validation, advanced control strategies, supporting high potency or peptide projects preferred. Work setup: initial at Indianapolis, permanent at Lebanon site, some travel for vendor FATs.
