Senior Therapeutic/Prevention Specialist – HIV Prevention (Orange County territory)
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead’s products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales by consistently meeting/exceeding targets in a geographic area.
- Use comprehensive account management: in-person representation, face-to-face meetings, and strategic partnerships.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers; deliver disease awareness, clinical updates, and education.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor progress and adjust strategies.
- Maintain product/disease state expertise; promote appropriate use consistent with relevant guidelines.
- Partner with local cross-functional teams and collaborate externally to enhance reach and drive sales.
- Leverage influencing/relationship skills; perform administrative reporting and expense/territory budget management.
Skills & Qualifications Needed
- Advanced communication to convey complex clinical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven sales acumen with success achieving/exceeding targets in competitive pharma environments.
- Technical/scientific proficiency in therapeutic area and competitive landscape.
- Cultural awareness and comfort engaging in sexual health conversations.
- Collaboration in cross-functional matrix environments; patient-centric, ethical, autonomous.
Required Qualifications
- High School + 11 years OR Associate’s + 9 years OR Bachelor’s + 7 years OR Master’s + 5 years.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel and meet onsite visitation requirements (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS; 7+ years pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty/highly competitive market experience; injectable physician-administered product experience; managed care familiarity.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Salary range: $133,195–$172,370; may include discretionary bonus and incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
