Senior Oncology Sales Specialist, Sapphire

What You Will Do
- Act as primary customer contact; provide current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical and economic benefits to medical professionals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan: deliver branded sales messages, execute planned programs, schedule/follow up on medical educational programs, and achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Service and manage accounts using internal/external relationships: ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts.
- Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales.
- Analyze sales effectiveness/territory performance and develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Maintain product passion through the entire sales cycle; build the brand while keeping patient impact in focus.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn.
- Use oncology/disease-state knowledge and monitor industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree and 3 years of sales experience
OR
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience
OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales and/or marketing experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare/medical device.
- Product or hospital sales experience in oncology (and related specialties such as nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology/inflammation; neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelorโ€™s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Strong competency skills: planning/organizing; business/industry/technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal/external relationships.
