Role Summary

The Sr. Neuroscience Regional Sales Manager leads, develops, and holds accountable a team of Specialty Sales Specialists to achieve sales goals within a defined region, guiding strategy execution and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent; set clear performance expectations and conduct regular coaching and performance reviews.
  • Address performance issues promptly and document outcomes in partnership with HR.
  • Foster a customer-centric, results-driven culture and build strong relationships with key customers and decision makers.
  • Recognize and reward high performance while addressing underperformance decisively.
  • Conduct regular in-person field visits to observe sales calls and provide real-time feedback.
  • Develop individualized development plans with each Sales Specialist.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Effectiveness Training to ensure onboarding and ongoing skill development.
  • Provide actionable market feedback to Marketing, Market Access, and cross-functional teams to improve strategies and resources.
  • Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned with the national strategy; manage regional budget and analyze performance to close gaps and leverage opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Life Sciences preferred.
  • Regional Sales Manager: minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with sales or cross-functional roles; at least 2 years sales management experience. Neuroscience and specialty sales preferred.
  • Sr. Regional Sales Manager: minimum 8 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with sales or cross-functional roles; at least 5 years sales management experience. Neuroscience and specialty sales preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams to exceed sales targets and conduct documented performance discussions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills; ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Proficient in verbal and written performance evaluations and documentation.
  • Business acumen to identify opportunities and anticipate customer needs.
  • Must reside within the region and near a major airport; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Travel up to 80% of the time; may require working after hours.
