As part of a nationwide expansion involving nearly 50 new sales positions, Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking motivated Neuroscience Sales Specialists to join its growing team. This role offers an opportunity to represent innovative treatments and make a significant impact on patients' lives.

Neuroscience Sales Specialist

Primary Role
The Neuroscience Sales Specialist will be tasked with achieving sales objectives within an assigned territory by promoting Acadia's products. This involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and providing them with compliant and compelling education on products, related disease states, and reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a territory business plan to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Engage HCPs through both in-person and virtual interactions, delivering clinical and disease state information.
  • Serve as a trusted neuroscience expert and resource within the local medical community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including managed markets, marketing, and sales operations, to deliver coordinated customer solutions.
  • Represent Acadia at professional conferences, training sessions, and exhibits.
  • Provide guidance to healthcare providers on product pricing and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a concentration in the life sciences.
  • Candidates for a Sales Specialist role should have at least one year of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, while Senior Specialist positions require a minimum of five years.
  • Experience in neuroscience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing a diverse range of healthcare providers.
  • Must possess strong selling skills, business acumen, and the ability to work independently.
  • The role requires significant travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
