Responsibilities
- Lead a high-impact manufacturing support team enabling reliable, compliant, agile operations across AR5 and AR30 manufacturing facilities.
- Provide tactical/strategic leadership for operational support, investigations, and project execution to deliver site goals.
- Build, develop, coach, and retain a diverse, engaged team in an inclusive environment.
- Partner cross-functionally on product lifecycle management (product re-introductions, process improvements, operational readiness).
- Manage investigations for process deviations and non-conformances (root cause, timely closure, recurrence prevention).
- Manage change controls and CAPA tied to products, processes, training, and process equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process, equipment, system, and operational issues for a 24/7 operation.
- Develop/implement manufacturing training strategies (onboarding, cross-training, capability building).
- Identify/deliver capacity, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and network partners for continuous improvement.
- Lead/support regulatory inspections (playbooks, response strategy, readiness).
- Deliver results in line with cGMP, safety, quality, compliance, and financial expectations.
- Apply Lean/operational excellence to improve efficiency and agility; support business continuity.
Qualifications
- High school/GED + 12 years, or Associate + 10 years, or Bachelor + 8 years, or Master + 6 years, or Doctorate + 2 years Manufacturing & Operations experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resources.
Preferred
- GMP leadership in biologics drug substance/mammalian cell culture.
- cGMP, deviation management, CAPA, change control, regulatory inspections, manufacturing documentation.
- Operational Excellence/Lean/continuous improvement expertise.
- Cross-functional experience; strong technical problem-solving; communication and influence; lead through ambiguity.
