What You Will Do (Sr. Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease – Michigan; Territory includes Michigan)
- Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community; establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US.
- Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors.
- Integrate and communicate scientific/medical information and the commercial value of products.
- Work self-directed in a changing environment; obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback.
- Match customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address opportunities using scientific/medical/health economic information.
- Identify and train potential speakers for sponsored external speaker programs.
- Participate in national/regional conferences and venues to support strategy, track clinical trends, and maintain relationships.
- Evaluate external clinical research collaborations; facilitate IITs and company-sponsored trials.
- Monitor competitive advances/trends and provide feedback to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Basic: Doctorate + 2 years Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years.
- Preferred: Pharm.D./Ph.D./M.D./D.O.; 2+ years as a medical science liaison in pharma/biotech; strong oral/written communication and networking; travel up to 60%; potential up to 15-hour days due to travel; ability to learn business applications (PC/iPad); proficient in Microsoft Office.
