Responsibilities:
- Be a credible medical/scientific expert engaging with Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) to increase confidence in clinical decisions for disease state and Biogen products.
- Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders as a partner (not transactional).
- Act as a “partner in the trenches”: be responsive, engage often, and provide solutions-driven support to leaders in the medical community.
- Participate in projects and/or initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.
- Be accountable to qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals; deliver against KME engagement plans.
- Navigate and coordinate resources with field and non-field colleagues; capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva with consistency and accuracy to inform medical and clinical strategies.

Qualifications / Required Skills:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required; Doctoral (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred.
- Effective communication (concise, confident, credible; listens empathetically; adapts to audience).
- Must reside within the territory: Texas (TX), New Mexico (NM), Colorado (CO).
- For Senior Medical Science Liaison: minimum 5 years’ experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar role in pharmaceutical/biotechnology.
- Digital potential: comfortable experimenting with technology and adopting new tools/systems.
- Accountability: motivated to meet/exceed metrics and KPIs.
- Ethical: understanding of industry rules and commitment to patient benefit.
- Travel at least 60% of the time (overnight and occasionally weekends).
- 18+ years old; valid driver’s license; acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.

Preferred Skills:
- Neuropsychiatry experience.
- Experience in a clinical or pharmaceutical environment.
