(Sr) Medical Science Liaison, Lupus - North Central

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a credible medical/scientific expert engaging Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to improve confidence in clinical decisions about disease state and Biogen products.
- Build deep, strategic, long-term internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Act as a “partner in the trenches”: be responsive, engage often, and provide solutions-driven support to medical community leaders.
- Participate in projects and/or initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics.
- Drive qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance; deliver KME engagement plans and navigate resources with field and non-field colleagues.
- Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights in Veeva with consistency and accuracy to inform medical/clinical strategies.
Required Qualifications / Skills:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required; Doctoral (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar role in pharmaceutical/biotechnology.
- Effective communication (concise, credible, empathetic; adapts to audience).
- Digital potential (comfortable using/learning new tools and systems).
- Accountability for goals, metrics, and KPIs.
- Ethical understanding of industry rules committed to patient benefit.
- Ability to travel at least 60% (overnight and occasionally weekends).
- Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; authorized to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.
- Must reside within the assigned territory: ND, SD, NE, KS, CO, MO, IA, MN, KY, TN, IN, OH, IL, WI.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Prior rheumatology franchise experience (optimal).
- Subject matter expertise in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) (highly preferred).

- Base compensation range: $165,000–$221,000.
