Role Summary

The Senior Medical Manager is part of the North America (US) Medical Neuropsychiatry team, a strategic partner within Biogen that helps inform medical practice across therapeutic areas and pipeline to improve meaningful patient outcomes. As a key member of the US Neuropsychiatry Medical Director office team, this position reports to a Neuropsychiatry Medical Director and collaborates with the Medical Director office and Field Team to coordinate and execute Neuropsychiatry medical strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Be a credible medical science expert who serves as the secondary NP representative and process driver, reviewing and coordinating submissions for Joint Biogen/Supernus Commercial Promotional (JPRC) and Scientific (non-promotional) Material Review (JMRC) Committees to ensure content consistency with established standards.
  • Engage with cross-functional partners (Legal/Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial) from the US Medical perspective to ensure content is medically sound, compliant, adequately referenced, and aligned with medical strategy.
  • Coordinate and liaise with Supernus Medical team partners to ensure medical communication, training, and initiatives are aligned.
  • Coordinate and implement initiatives around Congresses and VoKOL processes as directed by Biogen NP Medical Directors and aligned across the Supernus/Biogen Alliance.

Qualifications

  • Required: PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, or other advanced degree in the life sciences.
  • Required: Minimum two years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Required: Relevant experience with regulatory review processes in Medical Affairs is desired.
  • Required: Excellent communication (written and oral), including presentation skills.
  • Required: Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively operate and influence within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Required: Solid project management skills to include the ability to take initiative to solve complex and challenging problems.
  • Preferred: Clinical experience as a subject matter expert in the respective area is optimal.
  • Preferred: Previous work in medical communications and/or medical information.
  • Preferred: Experience with Psychiatry/Neuropsychiatry is a plus.
