Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery (timeline and technical quality) of Data & AI platform products/capabilities from ideation through production and ongoing operations.
- Take a product-centric approach: ownership, roadmaps, service-level objectives, and platform adoption metrics.
- Oversee scalable, reusable AWS + Databricks platform capabilities exposed as self-service products to use case/tenant teams.
- Enable shared AI services (model access, RAG/retrieval, evaluation, guardrails, orchestration) to accelerate AI solution build/deploy.
- Create reusable assets/accelerators (agent templates, MCP tools/servers, prompt & evaluation libraries, reference patterns).
- Lead hybrid technical teams; manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release schedules, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate technical problem-solving across data engineering, AI/ML/agentic enablement, governance, and platform reliability.
- Shape standards for architecture/data/pipeline/automation; maintain documentation and runbooks.
- Track platform health metrics (reliability/availability, adoption, time-to-onboard, efficiency); manage vendor/co-source relationships.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BS+ in data/computer science; 8+ years relevant (or 6+ with MS/ MBA).
- Agile/Scrum delivery leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience as lead data/platform engineer or solution architect.
- Strong AWS data/AI and Databricks knowledge (e.g., S3, EKS, Lake Formation, Bedrock; Unity Catalog, Lakeflow/Delta Live Tables, model serving).
- Experience with shared multi-tenant platforms, self-service experiences, and large dispersed teams.
- Product-centric mindset; modern data/AI architectures (data lakehouse, MLOps/LLMOps, event/API, agentic service patterns).
- Platform governance/security/compliance experience preferred; strong leadership and stakeholder management.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable): Salary range $146,200β$189,200; may include discretionary bonus, stock incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
