Role Summary
This field-based training position is responsible for meeting and exceeding the Sales and Management training requirements of the Incyte Dermatology commercial organization.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between the field force and Home Office to identify and communicate training needs.
- Ability to learn new medical and clinical materials.
- Assist with training and execution for line extensions and launches.
- Facilitate live and virtual training sessions of varied sizes.
- Coach and provide feedback to Dermatology Therapeutic Specialists.
- Manage classroom environment in a manner that allows representatives to meet learning objectives.
- Work with Director and sales management to institute specific metrics and measurements to assess the success of training activities.
- Effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Manage vendors when designing and developing training content.
- Manage training projects through the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review process.
- Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of training programs such as classes, workshops, learning modules, and other training materials.
- Design, develop and deliver training curriculum and content which may include disease state, clinical, strategic and/or skill based training.
- Partner with cross functional teams (Marketing, Field Sales Management, Sales Operations, Medical, etc.) to build and provide training to support corporate strategy.
- Partner with members of the in-house Commercial Training team during design, development and executions of training.
- Collaborate with Dermatology Business Directors within assigned regions to conduct field rides with Dermatology Therapeutic Specialists and provide coaching, feedback, and training as necessary.
- Facilitate live and virtual training sessions as assigned.
- Facilitate National/Regional Sales Meeting training workshops.
- Coordinate Regional Trainer activities and responsibilities.
- Identify, develop and execute training needed at the Regional level in collaboration with the Dermatology Business Directors.
- Assist in coordination of New Hire Orientation.
- Lead and manage the New Hire Home Study process, including schedules, coaching calls, assessments, etc., ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment for all new hires.
- Be a subject matter, product/disease state, and marketplace expert as assigned by the Director, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in all areas of expertise.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with key software is preferred (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Webex, Outlook, LMS, etc.).
- Proven success at performing responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility, objectivity, discretion, appropriate demeanor and professionalism.
- High level of selling skills with the ability to coach others on effective selling and execution.
- Ability to communicate and explain complex topics in an accessible manner.
- Must be able to self-motivate and demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to perform effectively in a collaborative and independent work environment.
- Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize concurrent projects.
- Ability to work in a cross functional and matrix environment.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, along with strong written communication abilities, adaptable to various management levels.
- High level of professionalism and the ability to excel in a team environment.
- Previous experience in training roles such as Regional Trainer, Home-office trainer, or Preceptorship is valued, but not required.
- Relevant sales experience in dermatology is preferred, but not required, to encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Experience with small molecule or biologics preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Travel up to 50-75% of the time within assigned Regions as well as to the Home Office.
