Position Summary
Senior Manager of Biostatistics on cross-functional development teams contributing to trial design, protocol development, analysis planning, interpretation of results, and preparation of regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on clinical study design (methodology, data analysis/interpretation, reporting).
- Author/review protocol synopsis, protocol, SAPs, case-report forms, clinical study reports, publications, and other study-level documents with minimum supervision.
- Perform/validate statistical analyses; advise on maximizing clarity of data display.
- Communicate results and provide data interpretation for study documents and publications.
- Translate scientific questions to statistical terms and statistical concepts to lay language.
- Ensure compliance with BMS processes/SOPs and global/project standards; maintain quality of deliverables.
- Develop technical/statistical methodology knowledge and enhance understanding of drug development, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
- Develop and advise team members; communicate GBDS mission/vision; support inclusiveness and respectful challenge.
Qualifications & Experience
- Fresh PhD with 3+ years’ experience or MS with 5+ years’ experience in statistics/biostatistics or related field with clinical trials/pharma/healthcare experience.
- Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python; advanced statistical analysis, data manipulation, graphing, and simulation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn regulatory requirements and trial design/data interpretation; work in cross-functional teams; prioritize multiple assignments.
- Experience with standard/advanced statistical methods preferred; regulatory/trial design understanding preferred.
