Sr. Field Clinical Coordinator – PKU Southern California

Role: Senior Field Clinical Coordinator supporting BioMarin’s marketed therapies, primarily Palynziq for PKU, within the rare disease space. Objectives include patient education, therapy initiation, adherence support, and clinic collaboration. Responsibilities encompass working with clinics and sales teams to facilitate therapy start, conducting patient education on safety, dosing, and administration, providing in-person support, and participating in patient educational events. The role also involves influencing team strategies, sharing best practices, and addressing obstacles to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements: 2+ years pharmaceutical patient education experience, 4+ years in rare disease patient care, allied health background, bachelor’s degree preferred, and valid driver’s license. Competencies include strong interpersonal skills, motivational interviewing, presentation abilities, adaptability, and leadership qualities. Work setup requires up to 65% travel, ideally in Los Angeles, Orange County, or Riverside. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with clinical teams, sales, and advocacy groups, focusing on supporting FDA-approved therapies for PKU with a patient-centric approach.
