Senior Field Activation Specialist (HIV Prevention Team) — CA Central Valley (Sacramento, Fresno, Modesto, Stockton and surrounding areas).
Responsibilities
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; drive and grow sales with Non-writers in areas of high unmet need; achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Build strategic relationships with healthcare providers; deliver disease awareness, clinical updates, and education.
- Develop/execute a territory business plan; monitor results and adjust strategy.
- Maintain product and disease-state expertise; promote appropriate product use in line with corporate/industry guidance.
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues (e.g., Community Liaisons, Market Access, medical scientists) to support access, acquisition, administration, and operations.
- Use influencing skills to drive sales; perform required administrative reporting and expense/territory budget management.
Required/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s + 6 years OR Master’s + 4 years.
- Advanced communication to explain complex clinical information; strong presentation.
- Proven sales success in competitive pharmaceutical environments; technical/scientific proficiency.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix; autonomy and self-starter.
- Travel within territory; ability to meet onsite visitation requirements; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: BA/BS; 7+ years pharma/biotech/healthcare sales; specialty/highly competitive markets; experience with injectable physician-administered products; managed care familiarity.
