Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for overall design of patient support programs.
- Lead a cross-functional access core team to achieve organizational access goals.
- Design programs that deliver excellent patient and practice experience.
- Improve program innovation, customer-facing technology, and user experience (people, processes, platforms).
- Lead through others; assist VP with charting the path forward for the organization.
- Partner with marketing to manage patient services marketing materials, forms, and administrative documents.
- Partner with Legal/Compliance to ensure programs operate compliantly and manage key SOPs.
- Optimize data utilization and analytics with Commercial Strategy to improve patient access.
- Drive optimization of data flow and governance.
- Establish relationships across functions; act as proxy for VP when appropriate.
- Partner with field access leadership and hub operations to ensure teams have what they need.

Qualifications / Required
- 12+ years pharma/biotech experience focused on patient and/or market access.
- Deep understanding of the patient access landscape and buy-and-bill patient access journey.
- Experience building multiple aspects of patient support programs (e.g., hub services, copay/PAP, field access teams).
- Experience optimizing internal programs and outsourced vendor programs.
- Demonstrated leadership with accountability for multiple support programs.
- Firm grasp of compliance/regulatory environment.
- Ability to inspire/influence without authority; present to executive leadership.
- Strategic thinking; able to anticipate marketplace changes and represent the patient/customer voice.
- Successful in cross-functional collaboration in a smaller biotech; college degree required.

Preferred
- Specialty pharmacy and trade experience.
- Recent ophthalmology (ideally retina) market experience.
- Launch and/or ophthalmology experience.
- MBA or master’s degree.

Additional Skills
- Business/tactical planning; program-level budgeting and P&L.
- Coaching/developing others.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology/optometry; navigating a non-promotional center of excellence.

Location/Travel
- Remote; travel up to 25%.

Salary Range
- $235,870–$326,167 USD.
