Senior Development Engineer II – Upstream
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute continuous process improvements to improve robustness, capacity, and productivity; identify value creation opportunities for titer/yield increases; design and run small-scale experiments and analyze/present data.
- Troubleshoot GMP excursions and perform root-cause analysis for complex technical investigations.
- Evaluate and implement effective, sustainable process control strategies, including new Process and Analytical Technologies (PAT).
- Support regulatory inspections, filings, and queries as an author/reviewer; support CMC strategy development.
- Mentor junior staff as required.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering (or related) with 4+ years relevant biotechnology/pharma experience; or MS with 6+ years; or BS with 8+ years.
- Experience in upstream or cell culture laboratories.
- Proven technical capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.
