Sr. Director, Strategic Partnerships
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end onboarding and implementation of newly signed partners to successful go-live.
- Set expectations, support structures, accountability frameworks, and coordinate partner training.
- Build/refine a repeatable implementation playbook to shorten time-to-go-live and standardize partner experience.
- Serve as central point of accountability during launch; resolve operational, contractual, and commercial issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Analytics, Professional Education, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure distributor readiness and product availability.
- Drive new partnership growth and expansion/maintenance of existing partner relationships.
- Own partner portfolio health: partner revenue/volume growth, retention, and onboarding throughput.
- Track distributor performance vs. KPIs; capitalize on opportunities and implement improvement plans.
- Execute distributor growth strategy (geographic coverage/market penetration) and identify expansion opportunities.
- Support joint go-to-market playbooks and educational materials; represent company at partner meetings/forums/summits.
- Report to VP on partnership performance, implementation status, and portfolio health.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7β10 years progressive commercial experience in medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of long-acting pain management product selling/distribution, including W-2 and 1099 models.
- Direct experience onboarding/managing commercial partnerships or distributor relationships (field-based).
- Experience in long-acting pain management/specialty therapeutics strongly preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Strong project/program management; ability to drive multiple implementations simultaneously.
- Interpersonal skills; cultivate partner/distributor/internal relationships.
- Commercial finance acumen (ASP/product economics) and trade/channel/distribution management knowledge.
- Strong communication, organizational/problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Travel up to 50%; valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
