Role Summary

Senior Director, Program Management - Development leads high-priority development programs, driving cross-functional execution with precision and passion. This role requires deep knowledge of drug development, thrives in fast-paced environments, and focuses on accelerating transformative therapies to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Purpose: Establish, inspire, and champion global program teams and subteams to advance product candidates, fostering a sense of urgency.
  • Strategic Execution: Collaborate with functional leaders to build and drive integrated development and program plans with milestones, critical paths, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Own the Outcome: Proactively identify and manage program risks through scenario planning and mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
  • Influence at Every Level: Cultivate relationships with executive and functional leaders to align program operations with company objectives and navigate risks.
  • Drive Transparency: Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that communicate program progress across all levels.
  • Operational Excellence: Facilitate high-impact team meetings with clear agendas, actionable outcomes, and follow-through.
  • Financial Partnership: Collaborate with finance and functional leads to shape and refine program budgets and assumptions throughout forecasting cycles.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in biopharma with at least 10 years of leadership experience; BA/BS required; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MBA) preferred.
  • Understanding of drug development from preclinical to Phase III/IV, including regulatory pathways.
  • Working knowledge of GxP environments and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office to manage programs and communicate status.
  • Commitment to high standards of compliance and ethics.
  • Salary and title commensurate with experience.

Education

  • BA/BS in a scientific or business discipline required; PhD, PharmD, or MBA preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days in office, 1 day remote in Lexington, MA.
