Responsibilities:
- Report to the VP of Marketing; lead all corporate customer engagement.
- Create the vision, strategy, direction, goals, and success metrics for the professional relations team in collaboration with the broader commercial organization.
- Develop innovative, differentiated platforms for physician education and engagement.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing, diverse team.
- Build and foster relationships with thought leaders, medical organizations, and advocacy groups.
- Develop robust advisory engagement plans to gather valuable insights and feedback from the eye care community.
- Partner with the broader commercial organization on corporate customer engagement opportunities, thought leader identification, and customer experience strategy.
- Maintain industry awareness of market trends, competition, product acceptance, and new product launches/indications.

Qualifications/Success Factors:
- Bachelorโ€™s in business, science, or related field; masterโ€™s (MBA or advanced science/medical degree) strongly preferred.
- 15+ years relevant experience; healthcare/pharma and ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership; ability to translate corporate vision into goals, adjust tactics with changing priorities, and use data.
- Effective talent management, coaching, persuasion, and mentoring.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, leadership, and communication.
- Proven cross-functional partnership (Marketing, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Development, Medical Affairs).
- Adaptable to change; strong communication and change management; relationship-building across teams.
- Ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities (project management, collaboration, communication).

- Travel may be required (30%-50%).

Compensation/Benefits:
- Expected base pay range: $255,000โ€“$357,000 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision); generous paid time off.
