Sr Director, Population Genomics

Role: Senior Director of Population Genomics responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives in large-scale national genomics programs (LNGI). Responsibilities include setting vision, building and leading a multidisciplinary team, fostering partnerships with governments and health organizations, and driving program success and impact. The role involves market engagement, thought leadership, securing multi-year partnerships, and ensuring the ethical and inclusive advancement of health equity. Requirements: 15+ years in genomics or related fields, deep expertise in sequencing technologies, population genomics, and lab operations. Must demonstrate executive influence, with ability to engage C-suite and government stakeholders. Willingness to travel 30–50%; based in San Diego or flexible. Qualifications: PhD preferred (MBA a plus), proven success in LNGI contract acquisition or management, strategic and operational expertise, and experience in product management and marketing is beneficial.
