Role Summary
Senior Director of HCP Marketing - Rheumatology, responsible for the overall strategic direction and performance management of a new product launch. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to develop and execute strategies for maximum success. Leads HCP marketing capabilities, brand planning, and market execution across all channels while guiding staff development and managing opex budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and create HCP marketing capabilities for the Rheumatology franchise, including launch strategy development, go-to-market strategy, and tactical planning for a new product launch
- Oversee the creation and execution of:
- Branded and unbranded personal promotions
- Branded and unbranded non-personal promotions
- Brand planning and competitive workshops
- Salesforce national meeting marketing execution
- Commercial medical insight generation through physician interactions and ad boards
- Maintain core brand message architecture and creative aligned to brand's and franchise's strategic priorities
- Orchestrate brand plan process by mobilizing all functional leads to create a cross-functional situation analysis, strategic direction, and full tactical build-up and budget
- Drive overall marketing direction in response to market changes, new data, treatment paradigm shifts, and market events
- Serve as brand representative to Global Product Team (GPT) and on label updates
- Support preparation for key financial and budget timepoints throughout the year
- Partner with Sales Leadership to gather local insights and feedback; adapt plans to support personal HCP promotion and communicate updates
- Oversee development and evolution of tactics and resources across all channels – personal, non-personal, congress
- Guide staff development in marketing expertise, organizational awareness, exposure, and career growth
- Manage relationships with key creative agencies and assess core agency needs for the HCP audience
- Represent brand-specific commercial perspectives in decisions related to Global Commercial Strategy, GPT, lifecycle development, and clinical development programs
- Manage significant operating expense budget
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: 12+ years of commercial pharma experience, including significant U.S. HCP marketing experience with 5 years in leadership roles
- Required: New product launch experience
- Required: Commercial pharma experience in Psoriatic Arthritis, with deep understanding of disease state and treatment paradigms
- Required: Demonstrated ability to manage a team, foster collaboration, and enable teamwork
- Required: Extensive experience in both marketing strategy and marketing execution
- Required: Proven track record in marketing innovation
- Required: Ability to use analytics to drive decision making
- Required: Strategic planning and implementation skills
- Required: People development and ability to assess staff strengths and development needs
- Required: Management skills to set priorities, develop workflows, and direct staff
- Required: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
