Role Summary
The Sr Director, Commercialization Excellence will be responsible for supporting strategy development throughout the development continuum including early development, registration, launch and in-market. The leader will focus on building and strengthening organizational capabilities to maximize portfolio value, including defining product innovation opportunities for assets from discovery to end-of-life to optimize lifetime value and serve more patients. They will lead a team delivering commercial support for a given therapeutic area, elevate cross-functional and regional collaboration, and drive an insights-driven overall strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support strategy development across the development continuum (early development, registration, launch, in-market).
- Build and strengthen organizational capabilities to maximize portfolio value and lifecycle optimization.
- Define product innovation opportunities for assets throughout the development timeline (discovery to end-of-life).
- Lead a team delivering commercial support under a single point of contact for a given therapeutic area.
- Improve the experience for colleagues by elevating cross-functional and regional collaboration.
- Collaborate with GCSO therapy teams, R&D leaders, and Legal/IP teams to share novel approaches and best practices related to lifecycle optimization.
- Drive governance processes and asset development in partnership with TA teams and R&D CDTLs.
- Maintain an insights-driven approach to overall strategy.
Qualifications
- Required: A minimum of a Bachelorโs degree.
- Preferred: MBA, JD or relevant advanced degree.
- Required: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceuticals business.
- Required: Understanding of drug development processes and commercialization.
- Preferred: Understanding of pricing and access environment.
- Required: Demonstrated track record of leading highly matrixed, cross-functional teams of high-level managers and executives.
- Required: Demonstrated high learning agility and problem-solving capabilities.
- Required: Demonstrated collaboration across geographies and functions with strong communication skills.
- Required: Global mindset and ability to partner cross-culturally/regionally.
- Required: Strong communication skills and influence.
- Preferred: Deep knowledge of J&J culture and portfolio ( Oncology, Immunology, Neuroscience ).
- Required: Travel up to 10% domestic and international.
