Sr Director, Commercial Supply Chain

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global supply chain strategy supporting launch and commercial operations (domestic and abroad).
- Define stage-appropriate operating models, governance, and org structure for commercial supply.
- Partner with External Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance to integrate supply, inventory, logistics, and planning.
- Lead commercialization readiness and launch planning.
- Provide senior leadership/SMe for Supply Chain Operations to ensure uninterrupted supply for clinical and new studies; lead planning, risk management, and GxP compliance.
- Build integrated supply & inventory planning; run S&OP to align supply/demand/financial plans.
- Establish and maintain GMP and SOX-compliant inventory systems; lead scenario/risk-based planning; optimize safety stock; manage excess/obsolete inventory.
- Establish Global Trade Compliance framework (policy, SOPs/WIs, recordkeeping); oversee import/export, customs, duty optimization; manage HTS classification and audits; support Shipping System Qualification.
- Oversee 3PL distribution/channel supply: manage 3PL SLAs, serialization compliance, warehousing/distribution, product release/returns; set distribution metrics/governance.
- Build and develop the commercial supply chain organization; promote “Quality First” (GCP/GMP/GDP); partner with CMC/Regulatory/Clinical Ops; oversee vendor assessments and supplier qualification.

Qualifications
- 15+ years progressive pharmaceutical/biotech supply chain leadership.
- Experience designing/managing US/EU/ROW supply chains for biologics and small molecules.
- Deep GxP, cold chain logistics, outsourced manufacturing, S&OP, supply/inventory planning, and risk management.
- Strong global trade compliance/import-export knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree (supply chain/engineering/life sciences or related); MBA/advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical-to-commercial transition and launch readiness.

Preferred
- Rare disease or CGT supply chain experience; global product launch/post-approval lifecycle experience; ERP and advanced planning tools; agility in scaling biotech environments.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- Anticipated base salary: $225,000–$280,000; annual performance bonus eligible.
