Purpose:
- Lead and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy for the Spine franchise, driving performance across planning, manufacturing, distribution, and external partners to ensure reliable product availability, strong financial performance, and exceptional customer experience.
- Ensure a resilient, compliant, scalable supply chain supporting innovation and global demand.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for end-to-end Spine supply chain (demand planning, supply planning, manufacturing, inventory management, distribution).
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned to business growth, product lifecycle management, and commercial priorities.
- Lead and develop global/regional teams (accountability, engagement, succession planning).
- Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Regulatory for new product introductions and lifecycle optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance service levels, reduce cost, improve inventory turns, and strengthen supply resilience.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and EHS requirements across the supply chain network.
- Manage external manufacturing/logistics partners for performance, risk mitigation, and long-term capability.
- Own supply chain performance metrics and financial outcomes (budgeting and productivity targets).
- Anticipate and proactively manage supply risks, disruptions, and capacity constraints.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
- 12β14 years progressive supply chain/operations/manufacturing leadership with significant scope/complexity.
- Proven senior leadership of large cross-functional/global teams.
- Strong end-to-end supply chain knowledge in a regulated environment (medical device/pharmaceutical/comparable).
- Operational excellence, cost productivity, and service performance.
- Experience partnering with senior commercial and functional leaders.
- Financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, performance management).
- Travel up to 25%.
Preferred:
- MBA/advanced degree.
- Spine/orthopedic medical device portfolio experience.
- Global supply chain leadership (external manufacturing/complex distribution).
- Transformation and digital supply chain experience.
- MedTech regulatory/quality/compliance experience.
- Experience with mergers/separations/major transformations.
- Strong communication, change leadership, stakeholder management.
- APICS/CSCP, CPIM, Lean, Six Sigma (preferred).
