Sr Data Scientist

Role: Senior Data Scientist within Amgen's Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation team, focusing on developing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions for commercial insights across multiple therapeutic areas. Responsibilities: independently lead analytical workstreams, translate complex business and scientific questions into technical solutions, develop, validate, and deploy machine learning and AI models using Python, SQL, and PySpark; collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, ensure compliance with regulatory and data governance standards; provide technical mentorship and stay current with data science advances. Requirements: doctorate or master's with 2+ years, bachelor's with 4+ years, or equivalent experience in data science or related fields; strong programming skills in Python, SQL, PySpark; experience with large healthcare datasets, machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.), distributed computing, and cloud platforms; excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with AI/GenAI, healthcare data such as claims or patient data, and biotech/pharmaceutical industry knowledge. The role involves working on-site a minimum of two days per week at the Deerfield, IL facility, with potential for remote work.
