Senior Counsel β HIV Prevention Legal Business Partner (US Legal Business Partners)
Role Overview
- Provide legal support for development and commercialization of Gileadβs HIV Prevention portfolio and related investigational assets.
- Office-based/hybrid in Foster City, CA; reporting to the Associate General Counsel, HIV Prevention.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Finance, and Regulatory; coordinate with Compliance, Privacy, Pricing & Access, Competition Law, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, and other groups to support compliant commercialization.
- Advise US Commercial and Corporate Affairs strategies for promotional and educational activities, including engagements with healthcare providers, patients, patient organizations, and other entities; ensure healthcare/commercial law and regulatory compliance.
- Provide legal training to field and home office personnel and external consultants; conduct large-group public speaking and occasional travel.
- Proactively solve problems, collaborate across internal clients/stakeholders, and manage multiple simultaneous projects across geographies and cultures.
Basic Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school.
- 6+ years providing legal counsel on laws/regulations relating to drugs or devices.
- California State Bar member in good standing or ability to obtain Registered In-House Counsel status or admission within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional written/verbal communication; strong analytical/problem-solving.
- Resourceful, flexible, detail-oriented, organized.
- Willingness to travel periodically within the U.S.
