Sr Counsel I

Role: Legal counsel specializing in manufacturing and supply contracts to support Gilead’s Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing teams. Responsibilities: draft, negotiate, and manage development, supply, license, consulting, confidentiality, and material transfer agreements for clinical and commercial manufacturing, collaborations, and medical devices; partner with senior management to ensure efficient legal support; develop internal legal materials, processes, and training; advise on transactional escalations and disputes; improve cross-functional workflows. Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school; 6+ years of experience in drafting and advising on commercial transactions at a law firm or in-house legal team; admission to California Bar or ability to register within 90 days. Preferred: experience with manufacturing contracts across biologics, small molecules, or medical devices; familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations; expertise in contract lifecycle management tools; prior industry or law firm experience related to manufacturing operations; strong analytical, communication, and client service skills; leadership experience and ability to coordinate with international stakeholders.
