Job Summary:
The Sr. Commercial Data Operations Manager will own and optimize the data operations ecosystem by integrating organizational data, ensuring reliable data operations, and managing sensitive-data risks for BioCrystโs portfolio of products for rare diseases and disorders. Remote working in Eastern or Central time zone.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute data operations between BioCryst systems and downstream partners, including commercial, medical affairs, and clinical operations integrations.
- Oversee risk management and data operations for key systems: inbound/outbound data transmissions, analytics/reporting tools, CRMs, patient/HCP marketing platforms, and material review systems.
- Serve as internal advisor to functional teams (Patient Services, Sales, Medical, Clinical, IT) on data operations and integrations.
- Establish/maintain a data and risk documentation repository for internal/external data (including data transmissions, integrations, data warehouses); manage Expert Determinations with Advanced Analytics.
- Support data operations for Strategic Data, Insights, and Operations platform implementations (initial build/launch, optimization, ongoing improvements) with documented risk assessment and operationalization.
- Coordinate/manage data flows between internal sources and external vendors.
- Collaborate with Commercial to size field force territories, create customer target lists, and manage rosters (with Commercial Enablement).
- Collaborate with Medical to size MSL geographies, create HCP coverage maps, create KOL lists, and manage rosters (with Commercial Enablement).
- Own commercial data ingestion monitoring and documentation for global inbound/outbound feeds.
- Ensure compliance with US and Japanese Canadian data privacy and security regulations.
- Partner with Data Architect on predictable operating models for inbound/outbound transfers and integrate AI/ML tools handed off to Commercial Enablement.
- Partner with Commercial Enablement to align data flows to high-impact tools, improving execution and insights.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years relevant commercial experience in biotech/pharma required (or preferred 6+ years with equivalent education/experience).
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of biopharma commercial data operations and sales data analytics infrastructure.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Specialty pharma data experience.
- Rare disease state experience.
- Understanding of cloud systems, master data management, and data warehouse.
