Job Summary
- Partner with department managers to plan, procure, and source materials, equipment, and services for a multi-product bulk vaccine manufacturing facility.
- Bridge internal and external business partners to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods and services.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Identify and recommend suppliers for capital equipment and facility services; analyze bids to determine best economic cost consistent with quality and delivery.
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to department staff.
- Facilitate contract requests; negotiate, create, and manage supplier contracts with end users and legal as applicable.
- Develop and improve procurement methods while safeguarding procurement integrity.
- Negotiate goods/services pricing; collect/analyze/summarize information and procurement trends.
- Source raw materials, reagents, media, standard supplies, and lab supplies.
- Create and manage purchase orders for inventory, capital equipment, services, and general supplies.
- Support purchasing specifications via technical data and company requirements.
- Conduct cost analyses for initial/continued procurement.
- Liaise with suppliers on requirements, non-conformance, delivery, and invoice issues.
- Assist with supplier quality audits as needed.
- Develop supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and inventory reduction programs; conduct annual supplier reviews.
- Assist finance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other audits.
- Process change controls/deviations; oversee SAP supplier data integrity; create/revise SOPs; support departmental/company projects.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or supply chain related field.
- 5–7 years procurement experience (biopharmaceutical preferred).
- People manager experience preferred.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong analytical skills; detail oriented.
- SAP experience preferred.

- Estimated base salary: $129,000–$151,500. Comprehensive benefits package offered (per plan documents).
