Role Summary
Senior Broker Manager to manage broker relationships and activity for key broker partners for the Perrigo Company. Preferred location: Allegan or Grand Rapids, MI. Remote work considered for commutable distance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the field sales team at identified gold, silver, and bronze accounts.
- Accountable for total annual spend and for improving ROI each year.
- Align broker contracts and agreements to Perrigo’s long-term interests and sales goals.
- Maintain high-level partnerships with broker teams.
- Direct/align broker partners to Perrigo sales goals; increase profitable sales of store brand and national brand product portfolio.
- Increase Points of Distribution at broker managed accounts.
- Act as a strategic business partner in presentations for potential and existing customers.
- Create and execute business plans aligned with company goals.
- Onboard and train broker teams on new items and branded growth strategies, including promotional and trade initiatives, decision maker presentations, Perrigo differentiators, National Broker Partners, and marketing programs.
- Ensure distribution alignment between Perrigo’s field organization and national broker partners.
- Educate brokers on Perrigo’s value proposition, including the Perrigo Advantage.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external partners (CSI/Marketing/Customer Planning and Fulfillment).
- Engage in broker meetings, trade events, and key customer meetings.
- Evaluate potential consolidations/streamlining for efficiency in processes and partners.
- Submit weekly recap and CTA with product, strategy and reporting updates in a timely manner.
- Adhere to trade budget and expense management expectations.
- Create Broker Scorecards and hold broker teams accountable to goals.
Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of CPG sales/marketing experience.
- Negotiation skills to manage broker contract execution.
- Strong ability to communicate, influence, and persuade others.
- Experience with management of brokers.
- Strong problem solving, planning, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to travel 20%.
