Description Overview
The Senior Analyst supports the Global Cost and Inventory Consolidation team in delivering enterprise-wide costing and inventory reporting. Accountable for ongoing execution, maintenance, and value realization of the global costing solution within S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN).
Scope of the Role
- Maintain and support the global costing solution and mapping structures within S/4HANA Central Finance (CFIN) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment.
- Execute and coordinate global costing month-end close activities for timely, accurate results.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of global costing results; analyze and resolve variances.
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate elimination of intercompany sales and COGS.
- Collaborate to enhance data quality and promote consistency in global reporting.
- Develop and sustain product profitability reports and drive standardized reporting across CFIN and EDW.
- Support acquisition and divestiture activities within the global costing framework.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years progressive experience in a large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting/auditing and publicly traded company control environment, including U.S. GAAP.
- SAP experience, with understanding of inventory and cost data structures/processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Foundational knowledge of SOX/internal controls.
- High attention to detail; capable of independent work and meeting deadlines.
- Process automation interest/desirable (scripting/task automation tools).
