Vaccine Key Customer Leader (VKCL)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary vaccine point of contact for assigned large private and public sector customers within designated market.
- Be accountable for vaccine business performance, customer relationships, and customer experience; coordinate company resources to meet customer needs.
- Build deep understanding of assigned customers and the local vaccination ecosystem; translate insights into business opportunities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of vaccination landscape (schedule, quality measures, reimbursement, uptake drivers, immunization registries, coalitions, school requirements).
- Create and execute vaccine account strategy to increase appropriate vaccine use; coordinate with customer-facing roles.
- Identify key decision-makers/influencers and build trusting relationships.
- Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to select/deploy solutions.
- Identify and prioritize strategic customers in region/geography; track competitors and contracting strategy.
Education:
- Required: BA/BS
- Preferred: MA/MS/MBA in Business, Marketing, Science, Healthcare or Public Health
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- 5+ years in sales leadership, key account/client service management, marketing, and/or strategy (healthcare preferred).
- 2+ years in sales leadership or strategic account management with high-influence public health or large healthcare organizations.
- Relationship-building with senior leaders/thought leaders; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership across reporting structures; self-motivated and independent.
- Analytical/problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook; valid driverβs license.
- Travel: ~40% (ME, VT, NH)
Preferred:
- 2+ years working in/with vaccines; strong understanding of vaccination (products/processes/marketplace).
- Local market/customer knowledge; strategic/management role in public health or health system/medical group.
- Knowledge of compliance concepts governing pharmaceutical/vaccine marketing and sales.
