Vaccine Key Customer Leader (VKCL) – Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for vaccines business performance, customer relationships, and customer experience for assigned large private and public sector customers; coordinate company resources to meet customer needs.
- Develop and apply deep understanding of assigned customers and the local healthcare/vaccination ecosystem to identify business opportunities.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the vaccination landscape (schedule, quality measures, reimbursement, uptake factors, local immunization registries, coalitions, and school requirements).
- Build vaccines account strategy to increase appropriate vaccine use; coordinate account team execution with customer needs.
- Identify key vaccine decision-makers/influencers and build trusting relationships.
- Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to select/deploy solutions to meet customer needs.
- Identify strategic regional/geographic customers and prioritize them.
- Stay current on competitor approaches and customer contracting strategy; engage field/HQ account team members to grow/defend the vaccine business.

Education:
- Required: BA/BS
- Preferred: MA/MS/MBA in Business, Marketing, Science, Healthcare, or Public Health

Required Experience:
- 5+ years in sales leadership, key account/client service management, marketing, and/or strategy in healthcare (preferred).
- 2+ years in sales leadership/strategic account management with high-influence customers/thought leaders in public health, large group practices, hospitals/systems, or managed care.
- Relationship-building with ability to influence senior leaders and thought leaders.
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills; collaborate across reporting structures.
- Self-motivated; innovative, analytical, and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- Valid Driver’s License; ~40% travel (ME, VT, NH).

Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years working in/with vaccines; strong understanding of vaccination products/processes/marketplace.
- Recent local market and customer knowledge.
- Strategic/management role in public health or health system/medical group.
- Knowledge of compliance concepts governing pharmaceutical/vaccine marketing and sales activities.
