Vaccine Key Customer Leader (VKCL)
Responsibilities
- Accountable for vaccine business performance, customer relationship, and customer experience for assigned large public/private sector customers; coordinate company resources to meet customer needs.
- Develop and apply deep understanding of assigned customers and the local healthcare/vaccination ecosystem to identify business opportunities.
- Use in-depth knowledge of vaccination landscape: vaccination schedules, quality measures, reimbursement processes, factors affecting uptake, local immunization registries, coalitions, and school requirements.
- Build a vaccines account strategy for each assigned account to increase appropriate use; coordinate account team execution.
- Identify vaccine decision-makers/influencers, understand priorities/concerns, and build trusting relationships that differentiate the company.
- Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to select/deploy solutions.
- Identify strategic regional/geographic customers and prioritize opportunities.
- Monitor competitor approaches and customer contracting strategy; engage field/HQ team members to grow/defend the vaccine business.
Education
- Required: BA/BS
- Preferred: MA/MS/MBA in Business, Marketing, Science, Healthcare, or Public Health
Required Experience/Qualifications
- 5+ years in sales leadership, key account/client service management, marketing, and/or strategy (preferably healthcare).
- 2+ years in sales leadership or strategic account management with high-influence customers/thought leaders in public health, large group practices, hospitals/systems, or managed care.
- Ability to build relationships and influence senior management/thought leaders; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Peer leadership; cross-functional coordination; self-motivated with independence.
- Analytical/problem-solving skills; business acumen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; valid driverβs license.
- Travel: ~40% (ME, VT, NH)
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years working in/with vaccines; strong understanding of vaccination (products, processes, marketplace).
- Recent local market and customer knowledge.
- Strategic/management role in public health or health system/medical group.
- Knowledge of compliance concepts governing pharmaceutical/vaccine marketing and sales.
