Job Description

Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance and accounting team, responsible for supporting accounts receivable functions, financial reporting, and audits. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, including payment applications, credit limit assessments, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage AR-related system testing, including routine patch updates and modifications.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for management.
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes by responding to inquiries and ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations with minimal supervision.
  • Manage the month-end/quarter-end close process for AR, as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures as the company expands into new and existing markets.
  • Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles (journal entries, reconciliations, etc.).
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.) and MS Office.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a structured manner.
  • Experience working in high-growth environments is a plus.
